In my PhD studies at CUHK, I have found a true example of the pursuit of wisdom as a common good. I am able to pursue research in Chinese philosophy surrounded by one of the highest concentrations of experts in the world, while enjoying frequent departmental seminars and lively discussion on a wide array of issues in nearly all traditions of contemporary philosophy.

It was daunting to start a midlife PhD away from my family during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
